"...if the Water Board adopts a program that requires more flow
to remain in the tributaries there is now going to be a regulatory
drought in terms of the overall water supply…"
- Les Grober, State Water Resources Control Board, Oct 8th, 2015, Modesto, CA presentation

The State Water Board wants to take more water from our rivers. The Board is currently updating the Bay-Delta Plan. The 2012 draft of the Plan proposed taking 320,000 acre-feet per year from the Merced, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne rivers to send it to the Delta. That's more water than the Modesto Irrigation District provides for agricultural and urban use in Modesto every year! It's also more water than San Francisco receives from Hetch Hetchy each year!

The Water Board knows how badly their plan will impact those of us who live here. The 2012 draft of the plan stated that there would be "significant but unavoidable impacts" to our area.

The State Water Board will soon release the new draft of the Bay-Delta Plan for comments and final action. We cannot afford to be silent on this issue! Join Assemblymember Adam Gray in letting the Water Board know that you oppose their plan. If we don’t act now, the Water Board’s plan will:

The New Bay-Delta Plan will soon be released for comment and final action. It has been drafted without any comprehensive involvement by
the people who will be most impacted.
